The company was originally formed as Response USA. After seeking protection from creditors under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, the assets of the company were acquired by private equity firms to form Health-Watch, Inc. Curtis was engaged
to value the assets of the company in connection with fresh start
accounting.
