Gertrude Hawk Chocolates, Inc. and subsidiaries is a regional manufacturer and distributor of chocolate candy and filled chocolate candy inclusions for use in ice cream and bakery products.

The Company’s operation included a U.S. based joint venture entity that manufactured filled chocolate candy inclusions. The joint venture partner was based in Europe and is one of the largest chocolate manufacturers in world.

Since the joint venture’s creation, the Company and its partner’s operating strategies had diverged with the Company desiring a more aggressive approach.

Curtis Financial was retained to advise the Company regarding the buyout of its partner’s interest in the joint venture. We provided a range of acquisition advisory services including valuation and transaction structuring as well as negotiating certain aspects of this international transaction.
