Galenea Corp. was founded in 2003 to develop novel therapies for the treatment of central nervous system and respiratory disorders based upon technology developed at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, The Rockefeller University and Columbia University.

The Company completed its first round funding and entered into a research collaboration agreement with Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. in January 2005. Otsuka Pharmaceutical, Ltd. is one of the largest private drug manufacturers in Japan.

Curtis Financial was engaged by Galenea, on behalf of its founders, to provide a valuation analysis in connection with the transaction with Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
