eResearch was presented with the opportunity to acquire the cardiac safety services business unit of Covance Inc. (NYSE:CVD) one of the largest CROs in the world. eResearch also entered into an exclusive marketing agreement with Covance in connection with the transaction, whereby eResearch will be the exclusive provider of cardiac safety services to Covance and its clients
